Zousui & Nikuzyaga




Today's dinner menu was Zousui(a porridge of rice and vegetables), and Nikuzyaga.






How to cook Zousui.

1. Cut vegetables which you want to put, such as carrots, white radish, onion, spinach, bok choy, and etc.

2. Put vegetables in a pan with water and boil them until vegetables get soft.

3. Add a bowl of rice to them and boil some minutes with low heat. It is good when water gone and rice get thickness.

4. Put egg and boil until egg get cooked. Then mix them softly.

   * It is good to eat in a winter or when you catch a cold!
How to cook Nikuzyaga.
1. Chop up carrot and potato, slice onion, and cut beef.

2. Put them in a pan with water and boil them until carrots and potato get soft.

3. Flavor them with sugar, soy sauce, and sweet sake.

4. Put a cover and boil some hours with low heat in order to infiltrate the flavor and make more delicious!

Katsu Don & Miso Soup





Today's dinner menu was Katsu-Don(a bowl of rice with a breaded and deep-fried pork cutlet on top), and Miso soup.


How to cook Katsu-Don.

 *At first, cook breaded pork cutlet.
1. Flavor the meat with salt and pepper.

2. Put wheat, egg, and bread crumbs on meat in order to coat meat in butter.

3. Fry them in oil until the surface turned to golden brown.

*Next, cook Katsu-Don
1. Cut onions and put them in a pan with enough water. Then, boil them until onions get soft.

2. Flavor them with soy sauce, sugar, and sweet sake.

3. Put the cutlets on top of that, and finally, put eggs.

4. Steam them until the egg get boiled.

How to cook Miso soup.

1. In order to make stock, put kombu or dried bonito into water, and boil them.

2. After boiling, take out kombu or dried bonito.

3. Put white radish, carrot, and deep-fried tofu, which are already cut into fine thin strips, in a pan, and boil them.

4. Flavor them with miso.

5. If you want you can put leeks.

*Also it is delicious if you cook miso soup with wakame and tofu!!

Curry rice & Croquette



Today's dinner menu was Curry rice, and Croquette.

How to cook Curry rice.
1. Chop up onions, and cut potatos and carrots in a size which is easy to eat. Then, also cut meats in a largish size, because it get smaller when it was boild.
2. Put them in a pan, and at first, fry them.

3. Add water to tem and next, boil them until vegetables get soft.

4. In order to flavor them, add a curry rouz. You can flavor with sweetish rouz, spicy rouz, or mixed them.

   *It is also delicious, if you pur fried egge to the curry rice.


How to cook Croquette.
1. Boil potatos and carrots, then mash them.

2. Flavor them little bit with consome or mayonnaise.

3. Take proper amount of potatos and make a round shape.

4. Put wheat, egg, and bread crumbs on potatos in order to coat potatos in butter.

5. Finally, fry them in oil until the surface, which is the coating turned to golden brown.


   *You can also cook this with sweet potatos or pumpkins with milk and suger, insterad of potatos, so it will be a kind of snack!

Vegetable soup and Kinpira Gobou




Today's dinner menu was Vegetable soup, and Kinpira Gobou (strips of burdoc and carrot boiled in suger and soy sauce).


How to cook Vegetable soup.
1. Cut vegetables such as onion, carrot, and cabbage. If you want, you can also put sausage or bacon, corn, and tomato.
2. Put vegetables in a pan with a lot of water and boil them until vegetables get soft.
3. Flavor the soup with consomme.
How to cook Kinpira Gobou
1. Cut carrots and burdocks into fine thin strips. Then cut a meat too.
2. Put all of them in a pan with water and flaver them with suger, soy sauce, and sweet sake.
3. Boil them until carrots and burdock get flaver. It is good to boil for a several hour with low heat.
